Johanna Perez donates hair to Organization

Johanna Perez, 9 year old, gave several inches of her hair to Locks of Love in Florida. She wanted to do it for kids that don’t have much.

Melissa, mother of Johanna accompanied her to visit stylist Erica Radenbaugh at Grass Roots for her haircut. Erica said “I’ve done several Locks of Love. I think it’s amazing.”

Erica Radenbaugh, stylist, has been at the salon in Grass Roots for two years. She said “The donor’s hair has to be at least 10 inches long.”

Locks of Love, a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces for children under 18 who suffering long term medical hair loss from any diagnosis in United States and Canada. The organization create unique need for children by using donated hair to create the highest quality hair prosthetics.

The Locks of Love Mission statement: “Our mission is to return a sense of self confidence and normalcy to children suffering from hair loss by utilizing donated ponytails to provide the highest quality hair prosthetics to financially disadvantaged children.”
