Helen of Troy Ltd. said that it will buy the Procter & Gamble Co.’s global Infusium 23(R) hair-care business for an undisclosed amount of cash. Infusium’s prduct include shampoos, conditioners and leave-in treatments.

Helen of Troy said the deal will expand its hair care product offers and the business will be integrated into Idelle Labs skin and hair care products. It is expected to close the deal by March 31.

The company expects the business to produce the annual sales to $40 million.

Cincinnati based Procter & Gamble is the world’s largest consumer products company, has been looking to sell slower growth brands.

In the last 6 months, it has sold its Noxzema skin care brand to Alberto Culver Co. and the Folgers coffee business to J.M. Smucker Co.
