There are lots kinds of add-on hair as outlined hereafter: Remi Hair, Non-Remi Hair, Synthetic Hair, European v/s Indian Hair, and Yak Hair.
1. Remi Hair
A natural hair that shaved completely from the donor’s head. It is a complete set of hair cuticles et all. Remi means all the cuticles are on one side.
Most Remi hair comes from an Indian subcontinent, it is shaved off for religious reasons and sold by professional barbers. The other source is from China human hair and to a small extent Southern Russia where hair be sold for profit sometimes.
2. Non-Remi Hair
A set of hair that consists of fallen human hair, and is naturally of lesser uniformity and quality than the Remi. They are difficult to maintain and naturally cheaper because due to the roots and being all mixed up.
3. Synthetic Hair
The cheapest hair made of artificial fibers, and available in weave sets or a single strands. Mostly the dermatologists do not recommend Synthetic Hair because of inherent problems with the skin with less than desirable consequences. These hair are much cheaper than natural Remi or Non-Remi Hair.
4. European v/s Indian Hair
European Hair are no commercially available. Indian hair are more silky, by their nature, thin and strong. Any kind of hair can be made that way a specialized treatment. It is a common misconception that soft and silky hair are better.
5. Yak Hair
The Yak Hair is sometimes are used thick and wavy hair need of the hour like for African Hair. The hair, such who suffer from the inherent disadvantage of possibly causing infection and is best avoided.
